Possible Causes
Small object sucked into fan, Fan impeller damaged or cracked, Fan housing loose, Fan motor bearing failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot, remove it from the dock, and remove the dust bin.
- 1. Inspect suction inlet: Look into the suction opening and dust bin outlet for foreign objects (e.g., Lego pieces, stones). Remove any visible items with tweezers.
- 2. Listen to fan: With the bin removed, briefly power ON the robot and start suction (if possible). If the noise is severe or grinding, power OFF immediately to avoid further damage.
- 3. Access fan housing (advanced): Remove the bottom cover and locate the fan motor housing. Check for loose screws or cracks in the housing.
- 4. Replace fan module: If the impeller blades are broken or the motor shaft is loose, replace the entire fan motor module with a compatible Trifo part.
Warning: Do not insert fingers or tools into the fan while it is powered. Operating the robot with a damaged fan can overheat the motor and main PCB.
