Possible Causes
Side brush tangled with hair or cords, Side brush bent or deformed, Side brush motor seized, Side brush gearbox contaminated with debris
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Power OFF the Trifo robot and remove it from the charging dock.
- 1. Inspect the side brush: Turn the robot over and locate the side brush (usually a 3- or 5-arm brush). Check for hair, strings, or wires wrapped around the hub.
- 2. Remove the side brush: Use a small Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw in the center of the side brush (if present). Pull the brush straight off the shaft.
- 3. Clean the hub and shaft: Remove all hair and debris from the brush hub and the motor shaft. Use tweezers if necessary. Ensure the shaft can rotate freely.
- 4. Check for damage: If the side brush arms are warped, broken, or permanently bent, replace the side brush. A deformed brush can overload the motor.
- 5. Test motor rotation: Gently rotate the exposed side brush motor shaft with your fingers. It should turn smoothly. If it is stuck, gritty, or wobbly, the side brush motor module may need replacement.
- 6. Reinstall and test: Refit the side brush and screw, power ON the robot, and start a cleaning cycle. Observe whether the side brush spins normally.
Warning: Do not force the motor shaft if it does not move. Excessive force can damage the internal gearbox. If E2 returns after cleaning and brush replacement, the side brush motor assembly should be replaced by a qualified technician.
