Possible Causes

Main brush jammed causing motor overload, Fan motor bearing seizure, Shorted wiring or connector, Debris trapped in motor housing

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Immediately turn OFF the robot, remove it from the dock, and disconnect the battery if accessible. Do not continue using the robot until the cause is identified.

  • 1. Inspect brushes: Remove the main and side brushes and check for jams or melted plastic. Clean thoroughly.
  • 2. Check for visible damage: Look for melted plastic, discoloration, or burn marks around the brush motor, fan intake, and connectors.
  • 3. Smell test: Carefully smell near the fan outlet and brush motor area (with the robot OFF) to localize the source.
  • 4. Do not reuse until repaired: If any component shows signs of overheating, replace the affected motor or wiring harness before using the robot again.

Warning: Burning smells indicate a fire risk. If you cannot quickly identify and correct a simple jam, contact a professional technician or Trifo support.
