Possible Causes

Thermostat not registered to any gateway, Gateway removed from account, Gateway firmware outdated, Duplicate device registration

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: No electrical work is required; changes are via app or web portal.

Steps to check:

  • Verify account: Log into the Salus Smart Home app with the correct account that owns the gateway. Ensure the gateway appears online.
  • Re-add device: Remove the thermostat from the app, then follow the pairing procedure to add it again to the gateway, scanning any QR code or entering the device ID as required.
  • Update gateway firmware: In the app, check for gateway firmware updates and apply them.
  • Check maximum devices: Ensure the gateway has not reached its maximum number of paired devices. Remove unused devices if necessary.

Resolution: If the thermostat cannot be associated with any gateway despite correct procedures, the internal Smart Home radio or ID may be faulty. Replace the thermostat.
