Possible Causes
Salus gateway powered off or disconnected, Ethernet/Wi-Fi connection down, Router blocking outbound connections, Gateway not paired with thermostat
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No mains wiring work is usually required, but if you move powered devices, unplug them safely.
Steps to check:
- Check gateway LEDs: On Salus gateways (e.g. UG600, G30), verify that power, network, and RF LEDs are lit or flashing as per the manual. If power LED is off, check the power adapter and socket.
- Verify network connection: Ensure the Ethernet cable is firmly connected to the router and gateway, or that Wi-Fi credentials are correct if using wireless. Restart the router and gateway.
- Check internet access: Confirm that other devices on the same network can access the internet. If not, resolve the broadband issue first.
- Re-pair thermostat to gateway: Put the gateway into pairing mode and then the thermostat (or Salus Smart Home device) into pairing mode as per the instructions. Wait for the link icon to become solid.
- App login: Log out and back into the Salus app, ensuring you use the correct account linked to the gateway.
Resolution: If 'NO LINK' persists with a known-good network and correct pairing, the gateway or thermostat RF module may be defective. Replace the gateway or affected thermostat.
