Possible Causes

Relay coil undervoltage, Loose relay mounting, Rapid cycling due to incorrect minimum on/off time, Failing relay

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate mains power before opening the thermostat or receiver.

Steps to check:

  • Adjust cycle rate: In the installer menu, increase the minimum on/off time or cycle rate setting to reduce rapid switching.
  • Check supply voltage: Ensure the thermostat or receiver is supplied with stable mains voltage within specification.
  • Inspect relay: With the cover removed (power off), gently press on the relay to ensure it is firmly seated and not loose on the PCB.

Resolution: If loud buzzing or repeated clicking continues, the relay may be failing. Replace the Salus receiver or thermostat containing the relay.
