How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not remove power from the Heat Hub or thermostat during an update unless instructed by the manufacturer.
- Check internet connection: Ensure your router has a stable internet connection and that the Heat Hub is online.
- Move closer: Keep the thermostat within good range of the Heat Hub during the update to avoid packet loss.
- Retry update: In the Wiser app, retry the firmware update. Allow sufficient time for completion.
- Power-cycle after failure: If the device is stuck, power-cycle the Heat Hub and remove/reinsert thermostat batteries, then attempt the update again.
- If E13 persists: The flash memory may be damaged. Contact Wiser support; the thermostat or hub may require replacement.
