Possible Causes

Open circuit between Heat Hub and boiler, Faulty boiler room stat input, Incorrect wiring to boiler terminals, Internal boiler control fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Boiler wiring is mains voltage. Isolate power before inspecting.

  • Confirm relay action: When the thermostat calls for heat, listen at the Heat Hub for a click and check any CH indicator LED.
  • Inspect wiring (qualified persons only): Verify that the correct terminals on the boiler are used for external controls and that the Heat Hub’s COM/NO are wired there.
  • Check for links: Some boilers require a factory link to be removed when using external controls. Confirm this has been done correctly.
  • Bypass test (engineer only): Temporarily link the boiler’s control terminals to see if it fires. If it does, but not via the Heat Hub, the wiring or hub contacts may be faulty.
  • Repair: Correct wiring errors or replace the Heat Hub if its relay contacts are not making a reliable connection.
