Possible Causes
Shorted heater relay on PCB, Faulty NTC sensor reading too low, Stuck heater contact, Wiring short bypassing control
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug immediately if overheating is suspected to avoid scalding or damage.
- Test NTC sensor: Measure resistance at room temperature and in warm water. If readings are too low or do not change correctly, replace the AEG NTC sensor.
- Inspect heater relay: On the control board, check for a stuck or welded heater relay. Replace the PCB if the relay is defective.
- Check wiring: Ensure no wires are bridged or incorrectly connected around the heater circuit.
Due to fire and scalding risk, overheating faults should be handled by a qualified technician if you are unsure.
