Possible Causes

Open or shorted NTC sensor, Disconnected NTC plug, Damaged wiring harness, Faulty PCB input circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect mains power before accessing the heater/NTC area.

  • Locate NTC: Find the NTC sensor in the wash heater housing or on the tub wall.
  • Check connection: Ensure the NTC connector is firmly plugged in and free of corrosion.
  • Measure resistance: Use a multimeter to check NTC resistance. An open circuit or near-zero reading indicates failure; replace the AEG NTC sensor.
  • Inspect harness: Follow the wires back to the PCB and repair any breaks or damaged insulation.

If a new sensor and good wiring do not clear E70, the control board may be defective.
