Possible Causes
Faulty door interlock switch, Broken or loose door lock wiring harness, Defective main control PCB, Misaligned door catch/striker
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Bush washer-dryer combo from the mains before removing any panels. Do not bypass the door lock for testing with the machine powered.
- Check door closure: Ensure the door is fully closed and the latch engages with a solid click. Inspect the plastic door catch on the door and the metal/plastic striker on the cabinet for cracks or wear.
- Clean latch area: Wipe away detergent residue or lint around the door lock area that may prevent full engagement.
- Inspect door lock assembly: Remove the front retaining spring of the door seal (if accessible), gently pull back the seal, and locate the door interlock on the cabinet. Check for signs of burning, loose connectors, or broken plastic.
- Check wiring: With power still disconnected, gently tug each wire going to the door lock. Reseat the connector to the door lock and to the main control PCB if accessible.
- Test and replace: If the door still does not lock and E01 persists, the door interlock switch is likely faulty and should be replaced with a compatible Bush door lock assembly. Reassemble the seal and retaining spring carefully to avoid leaks.
