Possible Causes
Motor overheating, Shorted motor windings, Faulty motor control triac, Loose motor connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect from mains before accessing the rear panel.
- Allow cooling: If the machine has been heavily used, allow it to cool for at least 30 minutes and then retry. Overheating can trigger motor protection.
- Inspect motor and wiring: Remove the rear panel and check the motor connector and wiring harness for signs of overheating or looseness.
- Check for drum overload: Ensure you are not overloading the drum, especially in drying mode, as this can stress the motor.
- Test spin: Run a spin-only cycle with a small load. If E50 recurs and the motor struggles or hums, the motor or control PCB may be faulty and should be tested and replaced as needed.
