How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before removing the rear panel.
- Check drum by hand: Open the door and rotate the drum. If it spins freely, the bearings are likely okay.
- Inspect drive belt: Remove the rear panel and check if the belt is intact and correctly seated on both the motor and drum pulleys. Refit or replace if loose or frayed.
- Motor brush check: On brushed motors, remove and inspect the carbon brushes. Replace if worn short.
- Test cycle: Reassemble and run a wash. If the drum still does not move and you hear only a humming noise, the motor may be seized or faulty and should be replaced with a Bush-compatible drive motor.
