Possible Causes

Closed or kinked inlet hose, Blocked inlet filter screens at water valve, Faulty water inlet valve assembly, Defective water level (pressure) sensor or hose

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off the water supply taps and unplug the appliance before disconnecting hoses.

  • Step 1 – Check water supply: Ensure the cold water tap feeding the Caple washer-dryer is fully open. Verify household water pressure by opening a nearby tap.
  • Step 2 – Inspect inlet hose: Pull the machine forward slightly and check that the inlet hose is not kinked, crushed, or twisted. Straighten as needed.
  • Step 3 – Clean inlet filters: Turn off the tap, unscrew the inlet hose from the back of the machine, and remove the small mesh filter from the valve with needle-nose pliers. Rinse under running water to remove limescale and debris, then refit.
  • Step 4 – Check for leaks or drips: Reconnect the hose, turn on the tap, and look for leaks at the connection. Tighten gently if needed.
  • Step 5 – Test fill: Plug the machine back in and run a rinse cycle. If E02 returns and no water enters, the inlet valve coil may be faulty.
  • Step 6 – Replace inlet valve (advanced): Unplug the appliance, remove the top cover, locate the water inlet valve assembly at the rear, disconnect the wiring connectors and hoses (note positions), and install a new Caple-compatible water inlet valve. Ensure hose clamps are secure to prevent leaks.
  • Step 7 – Pressure sensor check: If the tub is already full but E02 shows, the pressure sensor or its small rubber hose may be blocked. Inspect the hose for kinks or blockages and clean or replace as needed. If unsure, contact a technician.
