Washer-dryer does not drain; water remains in drum and E03 appears on the display.

Safety first: Unplug the Caple washer-dryer and keep towels or a shallow tray ready to catch water. Water may be hot.

• Step 1 – Access drain filter: Locate the service flap at the lower front of the machine. Open it to access the drain pump filter cap.
• Step 2 – Drain residual water: If fitted, use the emergency drain hose to empty water into a tray. If not, slowly loosen the filter cap to allow water to flow out gradually.
• Step 3 – Clean the filter: Fully remove the filter and clear out coins, lint, buttons, and other debris. Check inside the pump housing for obstructions and carefully rotate the impeller to ensure it moves freely.
• Step 4 – Inspect drain hose: Check the external drain hose for kinks or blockages. Detach it from the standpipe or sink trap and flush it through with water.
• Step 5 – Reassemble and test: Refit the filter securely, close the flap, reconnect power, and run a drain or spin-only program. Observe whether the machine drains correctly.
• Step 6 – Pump replacement (advanced): If you hear humming but no pumping, or the pump is silent, the drain pump may be faulty. With power unplugged, remove the rear or bottom panel (depending on model), disconnect the pump wiring and hoses, and replace with a Caple-compatible drain pump. Ensure all hose clamps are tight to prevent leaks.
• Step 7 – If E03 persists: There may be a wiring fault between the pump and main PCB or a control board failure. Seek professional service.
