Safety first: Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before accessing the dryer components. Dryer circuits run at high temperature.

• Step 1 – Confirm symptom: Run a dedicated dry cycle. If the drum turns but there is no heat and E10 appears, suspect the dryer heater circuit.
• Step 2 – Clean lint and condenser: Remove the lower front panel or rear access (depending on Caple model) to reach the condenser unit. Rinse the condenser under running water if removable, and clear lint from ducts and fan housing.
• Step 3 – Inspect thermostats and TCO: Locate the thermostats and thermal cut-outs mounted on or near the dryer heater housing. Check for a manual reset button on any safety thermostat and press it if present.
• Step 4 – Electrical tests (competent persons): Measure continuity across the dryer heater and thermostats. An open circuit indicates a failed component.
• Step 5 – Replace dryer heater or thermostat: If the heater is open-circuit, replace it with a Caple-compatible dryer heating element. If a thermostat or TCO has failed, replace with the exact temperature-rated part.
• Step 6 – Reassemble and test: Ensure all ducts are reconnected and seals are tight to maintain airflow. Run a short dry cycle and check for warm air and absence of E10.
• Step 7 – If E10 persists: The main PCB dryer relay or control may be defective. Professional service is recommended.
