Washer-dryer displays E13 and may stop with water in the base tray; sometimes accompanied by a beeping alarm.

Safety first: Unplug the appliance and turn off the water supply. Be prepared for water spillage when tilting the machine.

• Step 1 – Check for visible leaks: Look around and under the washer-dryer for signs of water. If water is present, mop it up.
• Step 2 – Drain base tray: Carefully tilt the machine slightly backward or to one side (with assistance) to allow water in the base tray to drain out onto towels. This may temporarily clear E13.
• Step 3 – Remove lower panel: If accessible, remove the lower front or rear panel to inspect the base tray and float switch. Ensure the float moves freely and is not stuck in the raised position.
• Step 4 – Identify leak source: With the panels off, run a short fill cycle while observing hoses, pump, and tub seals. Look for drips from the door seal, detergent drawer, inlet valve, or drain connections.
• Step 5 – Repair leak: Tighten loose hose clamps, replace cracked hoses with Caple-compatible drain or inlet hoses, or replace a damaged door gasket or tub seal as needed.
• Step 6 – Reset and test: Once the leak is fixed and the base tray is dry, reconnect power and run a test cycle to confirm that E13 does not return.
• Step 7 – Float switch replacement: If the float switch is stuck or electrically faulty, replace it with the correct Caple anti-flood switch.
