Possible Causes
Faulty pressure sensor, Blocked pressure chamber on tub, Kinked or split pressure hose, Incorrect sensor signal to PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and turn off water supply before working on the pressure system.
- Step 1 – Inspect pressure hose: Remove the top cover and locate the pressure switch and its hose. Check for kinks, splits, or disconnections.
- Step 2 – Clean pressure chamber: Follow the hose down to where it connects to the tub or pressure chamber. Remove and clean any soap scum or sludge that may block the air path.
- Step 3 – Reset sensor: After cleaning, reconnect the hose securely and run a rinse cycle to see if E18 clears.
- Step 4 – Replace pressure sensor: If the error persists, replace the pressure switch with a Caple-compatible water level sensor.
- Step 5 – Professional calibration: Some models may require sensor calibration via service mode, which should be performed by a Caple technician.
