How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use appropriate cleaning agents and follow label instructions. Do not mix bleach with other chemicals.
- Step 1 – Drum clean cycle: Run an empty 90°C maintenance wash with a washing machine cleaner or a cup of white vinegar (if permitted by Caple instructions).
- Step 2 – Clean door seal: Wipe the gasket folds with a cloth soaked in mild detergent or diluted bleach. Rinse thoroughly.
- Step 3 – Clean detergent drawer: Remove the drawer and scrub away mould and residue. Clean the housing as well.
- Step 4 – Drain filter: Clean the drain pump filter to remove trapped lint and stagnant water.
- Step 5 – Ventilation: Leave the door and detergent drawer slightly open between uses to allow drying and prevent odours.
