Possible Causes

Blocked condenser unit, Lint-clogged dryer ducts or fan, Partially failed dryer heater, Faulty dryer temperature sensor causing premature shutoff

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before cleaning dryer components.

  • Step 1 – Clean condenser: Remove and rinse the condenser (if user-removable) under running water until clear. Let it drain before refitting.
  • Step 2 – Remove lint: Clean lint from the door seal, drum holes, and any accessible dryer air inlets/outlets.
  • Step 3 – Check load size: Do not overload the drum for drying; Caple combos usually have a lower drying capacity than washing capacity. Dry smaller loads.
  • Step 4 – Verify heater operation: During a dry cycle, check if the door glass becomes warm. If not, suspect the dryer heater or thermostat as in E10/E11.
  • Step 5 – Sensor check: If the machine uses moisture or temperature sensors, dirty sensors can misread dryness. Clean any visible metal strips inside the drum with a damp cloth.
