Possible Causes

Worn or failed shock absorbers, Broken suspension springs, Transit bolts not removed on new installation, Drum out of balance due to heavy load

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the appliance before tipping or accessing internal components.

  • Step 1 – Check installation: Confirm that all transit bolts were removed from the rear of the machine after delivery. If still fitted, remove them according to the Caple installation guide.
  • Step 2 – Level the machine: Adjust the feet so the washer-dryer is stable and does not rock. Tighten lock nuts.
  • Step 3 – Load distribution: Avoid washing single heavy items. Mix large and small garments to balance the drum.
  • Step 4 – Inspect suspension: Remove rear and/or top panels to inspect shock absorbers and springs. Replace any leaking or broken components with Caple-compatible parts.
  • Step 5 – Drum check: Spin the empty drum by hand and listen for scraping or grinding, which may indicate bearing issues.
