How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the outlet or breaker before servicing. Do not work inside the cabinet with power applied.
Steps to diagnose and correct:
- Power reset: Unplug for 2–3 minutes, then plug back in and try a rinse & spin cycle. If 1F returns immediately, continue with inspection.
- Check for overfill or residual water: Open the door (if unlocked) and verify the tub is not overfilled. If there is standing water, drain via the drain pump filter (if accessible) or run a drain-only cycle.
- Access the pressure sensor: Remove the top panel. Locate the small round or rectangular water level pressure sensor mounted near the side wall or control area with a thin rubber hose attached.
- Inspect the pressure hose: Follow the hose from the sensor down to the tub/air dome. Look for kinks, pinches, cracks, or disconnections. Straighten any kinks and reseat both ends securely.
- Clear blockages: Detach the hose from the sensor and gently blow through it toward the tub to clear soap residue or lint. Do not use sharp tools that could puncture the hose.
- Check wiring: Ensure the sensor’s electrical connector is fully seated and free of corrosion. Reseat the plug.
- Replace sensor if needed: If the hose is clear and intact but 1F persists, replace the water level pressure sensor. Transfer the hose and connector to the new sensor, mount it securely, and reassemble.
If the error remains after sensor replacement, the main control board may be defective and should be checked by a professional.
