How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not attempt to operate the unit if you suspect electrical supply problems. Unplug before inspecting the cord or internal components.
Steps to address:
- Check outlet and breaker: Ensure the washer-dryer is plugged directly into a properly grounded outlet (no extension cords). Verify the dedicated breaker is fully on and not partially tripped.
- Measure voltage (qualified persons only): Using a multimeter, confirm that the outlet provides the correct voltage specified on the GE Profile UltraFast rating plate. Low or fluctuating voltage can trigger 2L.
- Inspect power cord: Examine the power cord for cuts, burns, or crushed sections. Replace the power cord if any damage is found.
- Internal inspection: If external power is correct, remove the top panel and inspect the main control board for burnt components or loose connectors at the power input.
If 2L persists and external power is confirmed good, the main control board’s power supply section may be failing and should be replaced by a qualified technician.
