Possible Causes
Closed or partially closed water supply valves, Clogged inlet screens on water valves, Failed water inlet valve assembly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off water supply and unplug the unit before disconnecting hoses.
Steps to resolve:
- Check faucets: Ensure both hot and cold water supply valves feeding the GE Profile UltraFast are fully open.
- Verify water pressure: Disconnect hoses from the back of the unit and briefly open each valve into a bucket to confirm strong water flow.
- Clean inlet screens: Inspect the small metal screens inside the water inlet valve ports. Remove debris with a soft brush; do not puncture the screens.
- Inspect hoses: Replace kinked or collapsed hoses. Ensure rubber washers are in place and connections are tight.
- Test fill: Reconnect hoses, restore power, and run a quick wash. If 4C persists and no water enters, the water inlet valve assembly may be defective and should be replaced.
After replacing the valve, check for leaks at all hose connections during the first few cycles.
