Washer-dryer combo displays E23 and will not drain or complete the cycle; water remains in drum.

Safety first: Unplug the appliance and be prepared for water spillage. Keep towels or a shallow pan ready.

• Inspect drain hose: Check the external drain hose at the back for kinks, crushing, or being inserted too far into the standpipe. Correct any routing issues.
• Access pump filter (if accessible on your model): Remove the lower front access panel or rear panel. Locate the drain pump and its clean-out filter cap. Place a shallow pan under it, slowly open the cap, and allow water to drain. Remove lint, coins, buttons, or debris from the filter and pump housing.
• Check tub-to-pump hose: Squeeze the black rubber hose between the tub and pump. If it feels blocked, remove the hose clamps and clear any socks or debris inside.
• Test pump operation: With the unit reassembled, plug it in and run a drain/spin cycle. Listen for the pump motor. If it hums but does not move water, the impeller may be jammed or the motor failing. If it is silent, the pump may be electrically open or not receiving power.
• Replace drain pump: If cleaning and hose checks do not restore draining, replace the drain pump assembly. Disconnect power, remove access panel, disconnect wiring and hoses from the pump, swap in the new pump, secure with screws, reconnect hoses and wires, then test for leaks and proper draining.
