How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before removing the top cover or control panel.
- Power reset: Leave the unit unplugged for 2–3 minutes, then reconnect and test. Sometimes this clears temporary communication faults.
- Inspect control panel: Remove the top cover and access the user interface (UI) board. Check for signs of moisture, corrosion, or physical damage.
- Check ribbon cable: Ensure the flat ribbon cable between the UI and main control is fully seated at both ends. Disconnect and reconnect to clean contacts.
- Dry moisture: If there is condensation or liquid inside the panel, allow it to dry completely before reassembly. Identify and correct any source of leaks.
- Replace faulty board: If E81 persists, replace the user interface board. If a new UI does not resolve the issue, the main control board may also require replacement.
