Possible Causes
Clogged lint filter, Blocked exhaust duct (vented models), Failed heating element, Faulty moisture sensor, Overloaded drum
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before accessing internal dryer components.
- Clean lint filter: Remove and clean the lint filter before every load.
- Check venting: For vented models, inspect and clean the exhaust duct from the combo to the outside. Remove lint and straighten kinks.
- Avoid overloading: Dry smaller loads to allow proper airflow.
- Test heat: Run a timed dry cycle and check if the drum gets warm. If not, test and replace the dryer heating element or thermostats as needed.
- Moisture sensor: If heat is present but auto cycles end too soon, clean the moisture sensor bars inside the drum with a mild abrasive pad to remove residue.
