Possible Causes
Blocked condenser water inlet valve, Clogged internal condenser spray nozzle, Faulty condenser water valve coil, Wiring issue to condenser valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close water taps before working on water circuits.
- Check for combined valve: Many Grundig washer-dryer combos use a multi-way inlet valve that feeds both wash and condenser circuits. Identify the condenser outlet from the valve using the service diagram.
- Inspect valve and hoses: Remove the top cover and check the small hose from the inlet valve to the condenser section for kinks or blockages. Clean any scale or debris.
- Test condenser valve coil: Use a multimeter to measure resistance of the condenser valve coil. An open circuit indicates a failed coil.
- Clean condenser spray: If accessible, clean the condenser spray nozzle or channel where water is introduced to cool the drying air. Blockages can cause E10.
- Replace valve if needed: Replace the multi-way inlet valve or condenser valve section with a Grundig-compatible assembly if the coil is defective.
