How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before removing the control panel.
- Dry and clean panel: If the panel has been exposed to moisture (e.g., from steam), allow it to dry completely. Wipe gently with a dry cloth.
- Check for stuck buttons: Press each button individually to ensure it moves freely and is not jammed. A stuck button can cause E15.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control panel and inspect the ribbon cable and connectors for damage or corrosion. Reseat both ends.
- Visual PCB check: Look for burnt tracks or components on the UI board. If found, replacement is necessary.
- Replace UI board: If E15 persists and the main PCB is known good, replace the user interface/display board with a Grundig-compatible part.
