How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power. Prepare towels and a tray for water.
- Open and clean pump filter: Access the filter behind the lower front flap. Remove and clean thoroughly.
- Inspect sump hose: From underneath or front access, check the large black hose from the tub to the pump for blockages (e.g., socks, coins). Remove and clean if necessary.
- Test pump electrically: With the machine unplugged, disconnect the pump and measure coil resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed pump.
- Replace pump: If the pump is defective, install a new Grundig-compatible drain pump assembly and test a rinse/spin cycle.
