Possible Causes
Faulty conductivity sensor, Blocked sensor chamber, Wiring fault to sensor, Control board sensor processing error
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and water supply before working on internal water circuits.
- Identify sensor: On Grundig models with water quality sensing, locate the conductivity or turbidity sensor in the circulation or inlet path.
- Clean sensor chamber: Remove the sensor if possible and clean any detergent or limescale deposits from the sensing surfaces.
- Check wiring: Inspect the harness from the sensor to the PCB for damage or loose connectors.
- Replace sensor: If cleaning and wiring checks do not resolve E26, replace the sensor with a Grundig-compatible part. If the error persists, the PCB may require service.
