Possible Causes
Clogged inlet water filter screens, Defective water inlet valve, Low or no water supply pressure, Faulty water level pressure switch or hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close the water supply taps before disconnecting hoses.
- Step 1 – Check water supply: Ensure both hot and cold (if used) taps are fully open. Verify water pressure by disconnecting the hose from the tap and briefly opening it into a bucket.
- Step 2 – Clean inlet filters: At the back of the Hansa washer-dryer, unscrew the inlet hoses. Inside the valve ports are small mesh filters. Gently pull them out with pliers, rinse under running water, and remove any debris. Reinstall filters and hoses securely.
- Step 3 – Inspect inlet valve: With the rear panel removed (power still disconnected), locate the water inlet valve assembly. Check for cracks, leaks, or burnt connectors. Reseat the wiring plug.
- Step 4 – Pressure switch and hose: Locate the water level pressure switch (usually at the top side) and its thin rubber hose going to the tub or air chamber. Ensure the hose is not kinked, blocked with detergent residue, or detached. Blow gently through the hose (disconnected) to clear any blockage.
- Step 5 – Test fill: Reassemble, restore power and water, and run a quick wash. If E02 returns and water barely enters, the inlet valve solenoid is likely faulty and should be replaced with a Hansa-compatible valve.
- Step 6 – Control or pressure switch: If the tub fills but the machine still reports E02, the pressure switch or control board may not be detecting the fill. Replace the pressure switch first; if no change, seek professional PCB diagnosis.
