How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before removing the control panel or top cover.
- Step 1 – Access control panel: Remove the screws securing the front control fascia and gently pull it forward. Do not strain the ribbon cables.
- Step 2 – Check connectors: Reseat the ribbon cable or harness between the user interface board and the main PCB. Inspect for corrosion, bent pins, or signs of moisture.
- Step 3 – Dry moisture: If condensation or detergent residue is present on the control panel, dry it carefully with a lint-free cloth and allow it to air dry fully before reassembly.
- Step 4 – Inspect cables: Follow the communication cable path and look for pinched or cut insulation. Replace the cable if damaged.
- Step 5 – Board substitution: If E15 persists, one of the boards is likely defective. The usual approach is to replace the user interface PCB first; if the fault remains, replace or repair the main control module.
