• Step 1 – Redistribute load: Open the door once safe and redistribute laundry evenly around the drum. Avoid mixing very heavy items (e.g., bath mats) with light items.
• Step 2 – Adjust load size: If the drum is underfilled (1–2 small items) or overfilled, adjust to a medium, balanced load and restart the spin.
• Step 3 – Check appliance leveling: Ensure the washer-dryer is level front-to-back and side-to-side. Adjust the feet and lock them with the jam nuts.
• Step 4 – Inspect suspension: Remove the rear panel and gently push down on the drum. It should rebound smoothly without excessive bouncing. If the drum oscillates heavily or shocks are leaking oil, replace the shock absorbers with Hansa-compatible parts.
• Step 5 – If E16 persists with balanced loads: The imbalance detection system (via motor feedback or dedicated sensor) may be malfunctioning, indicating a possible control board or sensor issue requiring professional diagnosis.
