Possible Causes
Defective diverter valve coil, Blocked diverter valve body, Loose wiring to diverter, Faulty control output
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close water taps before working on internal valves.
- Step 1 – Identify diverter valve: On some Hansa combos, an internal valve directs water between wash, rinse, and condenser circuits. Locate this valve near the inlet or inside the cabinet.
- Step 2 – Check for blockage: Remove hoses from the valve and inspect for debris or scale. Clean the valve body and hoses thoroughly.
- Step 3 – Electrical test: Disconnect the valve coil connector and measure resistance. Compare with Hansa specifications. An open or shorted coil requires valve replacement.
- Step 4 – Wiring and control: Inspect the harness from the valve to the PCB. If wiring and valve are good, the control output may be faulty, requiring PCB repair or replacement.
