Possible Causes
Broken or slipped drive belt, Seized drum bearings, Faulty motor or motor capacitor (if fitted), Control not switching motor in dry program
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before removing the rear panel.
- Step 1 – Check belt: Remove the rear panel and inspect the drive belt. If it is off the pulley or broken, replace with a Hansa-compatible belt and ensure correct alignment.
- Step 2 – Test drum rotation: Turn the drum by hand. If very stiff or seized, bearing or mechanical issues must be addressed before further use.
- Step 3 – Motor function: If the drum turns freely and the belt is intact, test motor operation in wash mode. If it works in wash but not in dry, the issue may be with control logic or wiring specific to the dry program.
- Step 4 – Control diagnosis: Inspect wiring from PCB to motor and check for burnt tracks on the board. Professional service may be required for control faults.
