Possible Causes
Loose or corroded hose clamp on sump hose, Cracked sump hose, Leaking drain pump housing or seal, Overfilled tub due to pressure switch issues
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close water taps. Tilt the machine only with assistance to avoid injury.
- Step 1 – Access underside: Remove the rear or bottom panel to view the large black sump hose between the tub and pump, and the pump body.
- Step 2 – Inspect during fill: Run a short cycle and observe (with panels off but keeping clear of moving parts) where water begins to drip. Stop and unplug once the source is identified.
- Step 3 – Tighten or replace clamps: If water seeps from hose joints, tighten the spring or screw clamps. Replace rusty or weak clamps with new stainless clamps.
- Step 4 – Replace damaged hose or pump: If the sump hose is cracked or the pump housing is leaking at a seam, remove and replace the faulty component with a Hansa-compatible part, ensuring all seals are correctly seated.
- Step 5 – Check water level control: If the tub appears overfull, inspect the pressure switch and hose as described for E04/E11 to prevent future overfilling.
