Possible Causes

Worn or leaking shock absorbers, Broken or stretched suspension springs, Counterweight bolts loose, Drum overloaded or with heavy items on one side

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the appliance before accessing internal components.

  • Step 1 – Check load: Avoid washing single heavy items (e.g., one bath mat). Redistribute laundry and run a spin-only cycle to see if noise improves.
  • Step 2 – Verify leveling: Ensure the washer-dryer is level. Adjust the feet and lock them in place.
  • Step 3 – Inspect shocks: Remove the rear panel. Push down on the drum and release; excessive bouncing indicates worn shocks. Look for oil leakage from the shock bodies.
  • Step 4 – Replace shock absorbers: Unbolt the lower and upper ends of each shock and install new Hansa-compatible shock absorbers in pairs to maintain balance.
  • Step 5 – Check counterweights and springs: Inspect concrete or cast-iron counterweights at the front and top of the tub. Tighten any loose bolts. Examine suspension springs for stretching or cracks and replace if necessary.
