How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before removing the control panel.
- Step 1 – Check for child lock: Look for a key or lock symbol on the display. Disable the lock by holding the indicated button combination for several seconds (see Hansa manual).
- Step 2 – Reset appliance: Turn the selector to Off, unplug for 5 minutes, then reconnect and try again.
- Step 3 – Inspect control panel: Remove the front fascia and check the Start/Pause button mechanism for sticking or physical damage. Clean any detergent residue.
- Step 4 – Check ribbon cable: Ensure the ribbon cable between the user interface and main PCB is fully seated and undamaged.
