Possible Causes

Blocked pressure switch hose, Faulty water level pressure switch, Stuck water inlet valve, Faulty main control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the appliance immediately if overfilling occurs. Shut off the water tap to prevent flooding.

Step-by-step checks:

  • 1. Check for continuous filling: With the machine unplugged and water tap open, observe if water continues to enter. If yes, the water inlet valve is mechanically stuck open and must be replaced.
  • 2. Inspect pressure hose: Remove the top cover. Locate the pressure switch and its thin rubber hose going to the tub/air chamber. Remove the hose and blow through it to ensure it is clear. Clean any soap scum from the air chamber connection on the tub.
  • 3. Test the pressure switch: With a multimeter, check the switch contacts while gently blowing into the pressure port; you should hear clicks and see continuity change. If not, replace the pressure switch.
  • 4. Examine wiring: Check the harness between the pressure switch and main PCB for loose connectors or damage.
  • 5. Control board evaluation: If the inlet valve and pressure system are confirmed good but E04 persists, the main control board may be misreading the level signal and should be evaluated or replaced by a technician.
