• 3. Test the heater element: Disconnect the heater wires and measure resistance across the terminals with a multimeter. Typical values are 20–30 Ω; an open circuit indicates a failed heater.
• 4. Check the NTC sensor: The NTC temperature sensor is usually clipped into or near the heater housing. Measure its resistance at room temperature (often 20–30 kΩ). If it reads open, shorted, or does not change with temperature, replace it.
• 5. Inspect wiring and PCB: Ensure all connectors are tight and free of corrosion. If heater and NTC are good, the heater relay on the main PCB may be defective and the board may need replacement.
• 6. Reassemble and test: After replacing any faulty parts, reassemble the back panel and run a hot wash to confirm heating.
