Washer-dryer drum does not turn; E06 displayed shortly after cycle starts

• 1. Check drum movement: Rotate the drum by hand from the door. It should turn smoothly without grinding or binding. If it is jammed, inspect for foreign objects between drum and tub.
• 2. Inspect the drive belt: Remove the rear panel. Verify that the drive belt is correctly seated on both the motor pulley and drum pulley. If the belt is off, frayed, or broken, replace it.
• 3. Examine the motor: Check the drive motor for burnt smell, discoloration, or loose connectors. Ensure the motor mounting bolts are tight.
• 4. Test motor windings: Disconnect the motor plug and measure resistance across the windings according to the service manual. An open circuit or short to chassis indicates a failed motor.
• 5. Check tachometer sensor: On many motors, a small tachometer coil is mounted at the rear. Inspect for damage and test resistance; an open tach coil can cause E06.
• 6. Control board diagnosis: If belt and motor assembly test good, the motor triac or inverter section on the main PCB may be faulty. This is typically a technician-level repair requiring board replacement.
