Possible Causes
Clogged inlet screens at water valves, Failed hot or cold water inlet valve assembly, Low household water pressure or closed supply valves, Faulty water level (pressure) sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Insignia combo from power and turn off both hot and cold water supply valves before working on it.
- Check water supply: Verify both wall faucets are fully open and hoses are not kinked or crushed behind the unit.
- Clean inlet screens: Turn off water, disconnect the hoses from the rear water inlet valves, and inspect the small metal screens inside the valve ports. Rinse debris under running water and reinstall.
- Test water flow: Briefly open each hose into a bucket to confirm strong water flow from the home plumbing.
- Inspect inlet valves: If screens are clean and water pressure is good but E1 persists, the hot/cold water inlet valve assembly may be sticking or electrically open. Use a multimeter (with power disconnected) to check coil resistance; replace the valve assembly if coils are open or the valve does not open when energized.
- Check pressure sensor hose: Remove the top panel, locate the small rubber hose from the tub to the pressure sensor. Ensure it is not kinked, cracked, or blocked with soap residue. Clear or replace as needed.
- Reset and test: Restore water and power, then run a quick wash to confirm normal filling.
