How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the control panel or top cover.
- Power cycle: Unplug the unit for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect and attempt to start a cycle.
- Access control panel: Remove the screws securing the top cover and control panel. Carefully tilt the panel forward to access the ribbon cable and connectors.
- Reseat ribbon cable: Disconnect and reconnect the flat ribbon cable between the user interface and main control board, ensuring it is fully inserted and locked.
- Inspect for moisture: Look for condensation or detergent residue on the control board. Dry gently with a soft cloth and allow time for complete drying before reassembly.
- Replace UI board: If E12 persists and the main board appears functional, replace the user interface PCB with the correct Insignia part.
