• Inspect door closure: Ensure no clothing is trapped in the door seal and that the door closes fully and latches with a solid click.
• Check door strike: Examine the plastic or metal strike on the door for cracks or misalignment. Tighten mounting screws or replace the strike if damaged.
• Test door lock: Remove the front panel or door gasket clamp to access the door lock assembly. Check for loose connectors and signs of burning. Reseat the wiring harness.
• Electrical test: With power disconnected, use a multimeter to check the door lock solenoid and switch contacts for continuity. If the lock does not energize or the switch does not close when the door is locked, replace the door lock assembly.
• Reset machine: After replacement, reconnect power and run a short cycle to confirm the door locks and unlocks correctly.
