Possible Causes
Damaged door gasket, Loose or cracked tub-to-pump hose, Leaking detergent dispenser or inlet hose, Over-sudsing causing foam overflow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and turn off water supply immediately if a leak is suspected. Mop up any standing water to prevent slipping.
- Check for oversudsing: If you used non-HE detergent or too much detergent, excessive foam can trigger leak sensors. Run a rinse and spin with no detergent to clear suds.
- Inspect door gasket: Open the door and carefully examine the rubber door boot for tears, holes, or objects stuck in the folds. Clean away residue and replace the gasket if damaged.
- Inspect internal hoses: Remove the lower front or rear panel and look for water trails around the tub-to-pump hose, pump housing, and inlet hoses. Tighten clamps and replace any cracked hoses.
- Check dispenser and inlet connections: Inspect the detergent drawer housing and water inlet connections for drips during fill. Replace seals or tighten fittings as needed.
- Reset leak sensor: Some models have a float or sensor in the base pan. Dry the base completely and ensure the float moves freely. Once dry and repaired, restore power and test.
