Possible Causes
Clogged lint filter, Blocked internal ducts or blower, Failed heater element, Faulty moisture sensor (if equipped)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the unit to cool before working on the dryer section.
- Clean lint filter: Remove and clean the lint filter before every drying cycle.
- Inspect and clean ducts: Access the blower housing and internal ducts. Remove lint buildup with a vacuum and brush.
- Check heater operation: Run a dry cycle and feel for warm air at the drum (do this carefully). If no heat, test the heater element, thermostats, and NTC sensor and replace as needed.
- Moisture sensor: If your model has metal strips inside the drum, clean them with a soft cloth and mild cleaner to remove fabric softener residue. Replace the sensor if readings are incorrect.
