JennAir
Poor Drying Performance
Dryer runs but clothes do not dry or take excessively long to dry.

Possible Causes
Restricted exhaust vent, failed dryer heater element, faulty cycling thermostat, clogged lint filter, low incoming air flow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before accessing internal components.
- Clean lint filter: Remove lint from the filter before every load. Wash with warm soapy water if coated with fabric softener residue.
- Check exhaust airflow: Run the dryer with the vent hose disconnected (temporarily) and feel for strong airflow at the outlet. If airflow improves when disconnected, the house vent is restricted and must be cleaned.
- Test heater operation: During a heated cycle, carefully feel the door area for warmth after a few minutes. If no heat, test and replace the dryer heater element, thermal fuse, or thermostat as needed.
- Avoid overloading: Do not overload the drum; clothes need space to tumble for efficient drying.
When to call a technician: If airflow and heater components are good but drying is still poor, a control or sensor issue may be present.
