JennAir
Moisture Sensor or Overheat Trip
Dryer stops shortly after starting and clothes remain damp.

Possible Causes
Dirty moisture sensor bars, restricted airflow causing high-limit thermostat to trip, faulty moisture sensor wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and allow it to cool.
- Clean moisture sensors: Inside the drum, locate the metal sensor bars (usually near the lint filter). Clean them with a cloth and mild detergent to remove fabric softener film.
- Check venting: Ensure the exhaust vent and lint filter are clean to prevent overheating.
- Test timed dry: Run a timed dry cycle. If it runs normally in timed mode but not in auto-sense, the moisture sensor system is likely at fault.
When to call a technician: If cleaning does not help, the moisture sensor or control board may need professional testing and replacement.
