Possible Causes
Defective door lock assembly, misaligned door strike, loose door lock wiring, control not sending lock signal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the door lock.
- Check door strike: Inspect the metal or plastic strike on the door for damage or looseness. Tighten screws and ensure it lines up with the lock opening.
- Inspect gasket and hinge: Make sure the door gasket is not folded or obstructing closure, and that the hinge is not sagging.
- Access door lock: Pull back the door boot and inspect the lock assembly and wiring. Reseat the connector firmly.
- Test lock: Restore power and start a cycle. If the lock does not click and F22 appears, replace the door lock assembly.
When to call a technician: If a new lock does not resolve the issue, the main control board or wiring harness may need professional diagnosis.
